Cookie Policy

Last Updated: May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how WatchQuant (operated by Lucca Levaggi, Florida, USA) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit watchquant.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) by your web browser when you visit a website. Cookies allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as whether you are signed in, your display preferences, and how you interact with the platform. Cookies make your experience more consistent and efficient across sessions.

2. Types of Cookies We Use

No Consent RequiredEssential Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled while you are using WatchQuant, as they are required for core features like authentication and security.

  • Supabase authentication session — keeps you signed in across page loads
  • CSRF security tokens — protect against cross-site request forgery attacks
  • Cookie consent preference — remembers your cookie choices so the banner does not reappear
  • Session preference cookies — remember your display settings such as currency selection

Consent Required (EU)Analytics Cookies

With your consent, we use analytics technologies to understand how visitors interact with the platform. All analytics data is aggregated and anonymized — it does not identify you personally.

  • Vercel Analytics — aggregated, privacy-preserving usage metrics (page views, performance data)
  • Google Search Console — search performance and indexing data; does not involve personal identification of platform users

Purpose: improve platform performance, feature development, and user experience.

Consent Required (EU)Affiliate Tracking Cookies

When you click a "Buy Now" link on WatchQuant, you are directed to eBay. eBay may set cookies on your device to attribute any resulting purchase to WatchQuant through the eBay Partner Network (EPN), enabling us to earn a commission on qualifying purchases.

  • eBay Partner Network tracking cookies — set by eBay, not WatchQuant, when you click affiliate links

These cookies are governed by eBay's Cookie Policy. WatchQuant does not have access to these cookies. For more information, see our Affiliate Disclosure.

Not Currently ActiveAdvertising Cookies

WatchQuant does not currently serve third-party advertisements. If advertising is introduced in the future, advertising partners may set cookies to serve relevant ads based on your interests. We will notify you and request explicit consent before any advertising cookies are activated. This policy will be updated before any such change takes effect.

WatchQuant implements Google Consent Mode v2. All Google advertising and analytics signals default to denied before any user interaction. Google tags only receive consent signals after you explicitly accept cookies via our consent banner. If you choose Essential Only, all Google advertising signals remain denied for your entire session.

3. Cookie Consent (EU Users)

In accordance with the EU ePrivacy Directive and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users accessing WatchQuant from the European Union will see a cookie consent banner on their first visit.

  • Essential cookies are set automatically, as they are strictly necessary for the platform to function.
  • Analytics and affiliate tracking cookies are only set after you provide explicit consent by clicking "Accept All."
  • If you select "Essential Only," non-essential cookies will not be set for your session or future sessions until you change your preference.
  • You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer. This will reset your preferences and present the consent banner again.

Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage and does not expire. Clearing your browser data or local storage will reset your preference.

4. How to Control Cookies

In addition to using our consent banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View and delete existing cookies
  • Block all cookies or cookies from specific sites
  • Set preferences for different types of cookies

Browser-specific guidance:

Please note: blocking or deleting essential cookies (Supabase session cookies) will prevent you from signing in and accessing authenticated features of the platform.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Certain third-party services integrated with WatchQuant may set their own cookies when you interact with their features. These cookies are governed by the respective third-party's privacy and cookie policies. WatchQuant does not have control over or access to third-party cookies. The main third parties that may set cookies are eBay (via affiliate links) and Google (via OAuth sign-in).

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. We will notify you of significant changes by updating this page with a new "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by email or platform notice.
